Corporate World is not for me

Why corporate life is not for me? Simply because I cannot be molded into a fake little ray of sunshine that loves everything and everyone.

Plus I was raised in a way that you go to work to do your work, your duty, not make life long friends. Yes, your boss should like you, but not because you smile your ass off on everything but because you are good at what you do.

In todays’ society though to thrive in a corporation you need to kiss ass and have zero opinion and you absolutely cannot show that you are smarter than the person that came before you.

I also don’t believe in running to HR with every little issue and that is where I lost the last time I work for a large company. Had I raised the issue with the HR that there are ladies, grownass women, that literally had nothing better to do than to scheme about me. I also lost because I couldn’t bite it anymore and I completely lost my cool in an email to few co-workers. Definitely something I shouldn’t have done. I learned from this situation that I can not just fight the battle myself, because against three I will always loose no matter how good of a worker I am. Seriously, I was stupid enough to think that since I am a very good at what I do I will win the drama land. Clearly I was wrong.

The situation that was happening at this company could totally be made into a reality show. There were clicks, I didn’t belong to any because it reminded me of high school drama way too much. But what do you expect from a company where two partners (they were married) decide to have a personal fight in front of their workers? Yea, bound to have employees that do similar things.

Anyways, I definitely don’t want to work for a big corporation that thinks they are doing things the new and cool way when in reality they have zero control of wtf is happening. Management is literally non existent.

Additionally I really am dragging working at all. Well not working, I do want to work but I don’t want to leave the house because I am not ready to leave my baby girl. Luckily we can afford for me to stay at home for now. I am also trying to get some freelance work that I can do from home and bring on additional income without leaving the house. Hopefully it works out.
